The Disappearance of Shayna Feinman

35-year-old Shayna Feinman was last seen in an area between Peach Springs and Seligman, Arizona on March 9, 2024. She disappeared after walking away from the rural property where she had been staying with her partner.

Background

Shayna Hilary Feinman is originally from North Carolina. She graduated from Guilderland High School in Guilderland Center, New York.

Feinman moved to Arizona in 2022 after many visits, with a desire to escape the city life. She began a relationship with her significant other in October.

In 2023, the couple moved to a 40-acre property located between Seligman and Peach Springs where they were offered housing by the property owner in exchange for cleaning up the property, which included several old trailers.

Feinman loved hiking and camping. She was well-trained in outdoor activities, with certifications in survival skills and survivalist programs. She had previously worked as a guide for a wilderness therapy program in Arizona.

Disappearance

On March 9, 2024, Shayna Feinman was last seen on the 40-acre property located halfway between Seligman and Peach Springs, Arizona, where she had been living with her significant other and several others.

Around 5:30 pm, Shayna was last seen leaving the property and walking into the woods. One witness said she walked into the woods following an argument with the property owner. Another witness said she was chased into the woods.

Shayna hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

A week later one of Shayna’s friends, who was watching her dog, filed a missing person’s report with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office after she failed to return.

Investigation

Shayna Feinman left behind her dog with a friend. Her camping gear, wallet, and passport were found inside her vehicle on the property. Her cell phone was later recovered on a nearby property.

Authorities stated that two of the people Shayna was last seen with were not cooperating with the investigation.

Feinman reportedly left voicemails and text messages before her disappearance saying she was not feeling safe and was scared, according to her sister.

Two Men Facing Murder Charges

On August 29, 2024, two men were arrested in connection with the alleged murder of missing Arizona woman Shayna Feinman.

58 year old William DalCerro and 36 year old Cavett Richards are facing second degree murder charges, concealment of a dead body, and conspiracy. Feinman’s body has not been found.

During the investigation into Feinman’s disappearance, police found evidence that linked the two men to Feinman’s murder. Details of the evidence have not been released.
