29 year old Lisa Knight was last seen in Ossineke, Michigan on June 8, 2012. She was last seen at her ex-husbands house, who says she left during the night while he was asleep.
Background
Lisa Marie Knight was born to parents Marc and Jean Knight on September 12, 1982. She has four children.
As a child, Lisa loved spending time with her horse, and loved ones describe her as the life of the party.
During her early adult years she began struggling with substance abuse. At the time of her disappearance her children were living with family members, but she visited them often.
She had gone missing for a few days before, but never for any extended amount of time. During those times she would also stay in close contact with her mother, letting her know where she was and how to contact her.
Disappearance
On June 8, 2012, Lisa Knight was picked up by her ex-husband, Lloyd Frey, so she could visit their youngest daughter. However, instead of making that visit the pair ended up back at Lloyd’s home.
Around 10:30 pm, Lisa called a friend from Frey’s home; Lisa was upset and asked the friend to come get her. Her friend wasn’t able to come get her, and says Lisa didn’t elaborate further as to what was going on. Lisa hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Lisa’s ex-husband, Lloyd Frey, says she left sometime that night while he was asleep. She was reported missing four days after she was last seen after she failed to show up to an appointment.
Investigation
Lisa did not have a vehicle at the time of her disappearance, and her cell phone has not been used since she called her friend on the night of June 8, 2012.
Authorities initially believed she left on her own, but foul play is now suspected with police saying they believe she is likely deceased.
Investigators have received about 150 tips over the years, but none have led to Lisa’s location.
About five years after Lisa disappeared, the Michigan State Police launched a task force concentrating on her case. They continue to investigate her case, and urge anyone with information to come forward.
Frey is considered a person of interest in Lisa’s case, and has been cooperating with their investigation. Police have conducted searches at his property with the help of cadaver dogs, including boring holes into the concrete he poured around the time she vanished, but no evidence connecting him to her disappearance has been found.
“These kids need to have closure,” Knight’s mother said back in 2019, referencing the impact the disappearance had on Lisa’s children. “They need to move on past this and they can’t. They can’t until they know.”
Whereabouts
Lisa Knight’s location, as well as the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, remains unknown. Her case is currently classified as endangered missing and remains unsolved.
Appearance
White female born on September 12, 1982. Lisa has blonde hair, green eyes, stands 5’0 tall, and weights 120 pounds. Her ears, eyebrow, and lower lip are pierced.
She has several tattoos including flowers on her neck and upper back, a rose on her lower right leg, and a blue/black skull with “LLOYD” in the center of her chest.

Lisa was last seen wearing a brown shirt, green pants, and black lace up knee high boots.
