22-year-old Haleigh Murphy was last seen in Round Rock, Texas on June 16, 2023. She disappeared after spending the night out at a bar with a male friend.

Background

Haleigh Breann Murphy was born on June 12, 2000. She is the mother of a 2-year-old son.

Murphy is an Army veteran who served for about three years before she was medically discharged due to hip problems.

In 2023, Haleigh was a resident of Temple in Bell County, Texas. She had recently started her first semester as a business student while also studying for her real estate license.

Disappearance

On June 16, 2023, Haleigh Murphy spoke on the phone with her younger sister around 6:30 am, saying she was going to change her cell phone number because “too many people had her number” and about her plans to visit an ex-boyfriend for a birthday party that weekend.

Around 9:00 pm, Haleigh was dropped off by her younger sister at Slick Willie’s, a pool hall on Burnet Road in Austin, Texas, where she was seen getting into the car of a male friend.

An hour later, Haleigh called her sister to check if she made it back home safely because of the heavy rain that night. Due to the sound in the background it is believed she was at a bar during the call.

Haleigh Murphy never returned home and hasn’t been heard from since. On June 20, 2023, her family filed a missing person’s report with the Austin Police Department when they did not hear from her.

Investigation

Witnesses reported seeing Haleigh Murphy at Eddie’s Tavern, a sports bar on Parker Drive in Round Rock, Texas, about 15 miles away from Slick Willie’s around 11:30 pm, with the same male friend who had previously picked her up.

Murphy told her sister that she was going to stay with her friend that night, and that he was going to take her to pick up a rental car the next morning so she could drive to her ex-boyfriend’s place to attend his birthday party. Haleigh never made it to the party. 

There has been no activity on her phone record, bank account, or social media since she disappeared.

The circumstances of Haleigh Murphy’s disappearance remain unclear and her case is currently classified as missing. Her case remains unsolved.

Physical Description:
White female born on June 12, 2000. Haleugh has blonde/strawberry hair, hazel eyes, stands 5’0 tall, and weighs 100 pounds.

Distinctive Physical Features:
Haleigh has multiple tattoos in bright colors on her body including the initials “GSM” behind her left ear, a third eye symbol on her neck, a fairy with large feathers on her chest, a sleeve which includes a tree, “Braxton and Mitchell” and elephants on her arm, unknown words going down her spine, and a snake and skull on her right thigh.

Clothing and accessories:
Haleigh was last seen wearing a light purple t-shirt, light colored jean shorts, and light purple vans.
