Disappearance
At approximately 1:04am on October 9, 2023, Denice Smith walked away from her residence on County Route 563 in Woodland Township, New Jersey.
She was last seen by an eyewitness around 2:00 am, walking on Cedar Road in Woodland Township. She hasn’t seen or heard form since.
Denice has suffered from multiple long term health issues, including seizures and dementia. She is without her required medication.
“She suffered a brain injury and has the capacity of a five year old”, Denice’s daughter told Delaware Valley News.
Investigation
Police search dogs lost her scent near a road in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, which is where she is from.
Denice has family in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, but there’s no evidence she traveled there.
She has wandered off a few times before, but was always found near a road.
There was an unconfirmed sighting of Denice near the Route 206 and Route 30 area, which made her family believe she may have been picked up by someone.
Appearance
White female with grey hair and brown eyes. Denice stands 5’1 tall and weighs 120 pounds.
Clothing & Accessories:
Denice was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, white Nike Monarch sneakers, and a necklace with an Apple AirTag pendant.
