The Disappearance of Brandy Wilson

24 year old Brandy Wilson was last seen in Colfax, Indiana on June 4, 2002. She was last seen by her husband at their home, located on West County Road 600S.

Background

Brandy Wilson was born on July 12, 1977. At the time of her disappearance she was was living with her husband, Kenny Wilson, and their two sons in rural Colfax, Indiana.

Prior to their marriage, Kenny had spent 10 years in prison. In 1987 he was charged in the robbery/homicide of an elderly victim who was beaten to death and disposed of in a freezer. Kenny pleaded guilty to the robbery in exchange for having the homicide charges dropped. 

Disappearance

On the morning of June 4, 2002, Brandy Wilson was last seen by her husband at their home located on West CR 600S in Colfax, Indiana.

Her husband, Kenny Wilson, says when he woke up around 2:00 pm after working a night shift she was gone. He said $400 in cash from their emergency fund was also missing.

Their vehicles and other personal belongings, including Brandy’s purse and wedding rings, were left behind at home.

Four of Brandy’s co-workers at the Donaldson plant in Frankfort reported her missing later that day when she failed to show up for work.

Investigation

Investigators initially though Brandy had left home without telling her husband, but as time passed they began to suspect foul play.

Her husband was given a polygraph test, but the results have not been made public.

Kenny told investigators they had been having marital problems, and that he had sent the kids to stay with his parents for a few days so they could work things out.

According to one of Brandy’s coworkers, she had stated she was scared, and that if she didn’t “show up tomorrow, that Kenny did something.” 

Another coworker says Brandy confided to her that Kenny had “strangled her unconscious” about a month before she disappeared.

Brandy’s family says she would have never left her children behind. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance. 

Appearance

White female with brown hair and brown eyes. Brandy stands 5’4 tall and weighs 135 pounds.

Her ears are pierced, she has a circular scar on the back of her neck, and a tattoo of a flower on her left breast. She sometimes wears eyeglasses.
